Collecting Monthly AWE Statistics

This applies to almost all AWE machines at MFRL... See below

You can not run this procedure for the current month; you must wait until after the first of the month and run this for the prior month.

  1. Insert a flash drive into a usb port (usually on the left hand side of the Early Literacy Station)
  2. Press CTRL + ALT + m to get into Administrative Settings – password is: mfrlels
  3. At the left bottom of the screen, click the Utilization Statistics then click the Export button.
  4. A pop up will ask you to name your file; it should be YYMMDDmachine, ie. 20221019BBELS01
  5. Another pop up will appear for successful data export – click OK.
    • There is no way to do the usual “safe to remove” for the flash drive, so simply take it out of the usb port.
  6. Click Cancel at the lower right of the screen. The ELS should return to normal operation.

Take the flash drive to a staff computer and connect it to a usb port.

Two files are created on the usb flash drive during the transfer process. They both have the same file name, ie. 20221019BBELS01 but have different file extensions. Use the *.csv/Excel file; the *.9csv can be discarded.

  1. From the P-drive go to Public > Forms > Admin Forms;
  2. Open AWE_Stats_Reporter.xltm
    • Note: If there is a Macros have been disabled message at the top of Excel, click the Enable Content button.
  3. There is a tab Instructions that has more detailed information for transferring the data. Essentially:
    • Select all and then copy all data from the stats file
    • Go to Main tab of Reporter tab
    • Press CTRL + SHIFT + m
  4. It may take several minutes to compile the data.
    • View the Answers tab for results.
  5. Send the result totals to your Branch Manager
