At a computer

  • Open or create a PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Save As a PowerPoint Picture Presentation to location of your choosing. Close the PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Open the saved PowerPoint Picture Presentation file.
  • Go to Design Tab > Slide Size > Custom Slide Size.
  • Change dimensions to 40 inches x 22.5 inches.
  • Do a File > Save As. Choose your USB as a location, and type as JPEG. Choose All Slides from the pop-up. Close PowerPoint.
    • Christiansburg: The files are saved in a folder "Christiansburg..." on the USB. Move the JPEG files from this folder to the "root" of the USB drive (i.e. not in a folder)

Navigate USB and Play

  • Plug the USB into the USB port on the side of the TV
  • A pop-up appears: Do you want to browse files from the connected device? Click "yes"

However, it's easy to miss this pop-up. To get to the USB contents:

  • On the remote, press the Source button.
  • Select Mass Storage Device / USB
  • Navigate to the location where all of the slides exist.
  • Click on a slide
  • Press Play

Settings

If needed, you can adjust the following on the TV:

  • Scroll down, click the three dots. This will bring up the Options menu.
    • Size: You can select Full if the original slides don't fill the TV screen.
    • Transition: If you don't like the "fade out" effect, you can change it here.
    • Speed: This determines how long slides are displayed.
