Network Information for Staff

Wireless networks

MFRL-VanStaff Wireless on Meraki Z3. This is a Hidden network, and only for MFRL staff devices. Ask IT for help if you need to connect a new device to it. Staff devices on this network act just like they are in one of the buildings (BB).

MFRL-VanPublic Wireless on Peplink. Open network (no password), takes public directly out to internet via SIM cards / cellular networks

MFRL-PubInBld Wireless on Meraki Z3. "Public In Building" This is a Secure, but not hidden, network. There is a password for this, and we do distribute it if needed. It's so public people can act "exactly" like they are in our building at Blacksburg. It's for in-house experience if needed (very rarely). As an example, people on this network should be able to access LexisNexis. Again, needed very rarely.

Wired networks

Staff There are three specific jacks that are labeled for staff use. Phone, Printer, and Staff (at counter behind driver seat). All other ports can be used by public.
