Hold

Using the Hold button will put the caller on hold, but the call can only be retrieved from the handset that was used to hold the call. Press the flashing line button to retrieve the call.

Park

Parking a call will place the call on "hold", but it will be able to be retrieved from anywhere.

  • Answer incoming call.
  • Inform the Caller you will be putting them on hold. Press the Transfer Key.
  • Dial 700#. Listen for the system to give you a pickup number such as 701, 702, etc. Hang up.
  • To retrieve the call, dial the number the system gave you (such as 701) then press #. This can be done from any handset.

Transfer

  • Answer incoming call.
  • Inform the Caller you will be transferring them. Press the Transfer Key.
  • Dial the destination phone's three digit extension plus #. At this point, you can:
    • Blind Transfer: Hang up. or
    • Announced Transfer: Wait until the person you wish to transfer to answers their phone. You can privately summarize the call to that person. Hang up.

  • Hang up as soon as the Voice Mail greeting starts, completing the transfer or
  • Press the flashing line button on the phone. This cancels the transfer, allowing you to send the caller to another destination.

Transfer directly to someone's VoiceMail

You can transfer a call directly to someone's voicemail. This allows the caller to bypass the wait of the ringing phone, and/or doesn't ring the phone of someone who may not want to be disturbed.

  • Inform the Caller you will be transferring them. Press the Transfer Key.
  • Dial *22 plus the destination phone's three digit extension plus #.
  • Hang up
